Eyelash Curlers: A First Attempt

They look like a cross between a pair of scissors and a pair of tongs you might use in the kitchen. But they are, in fact, quite the opposite. They don’t cut, but they do allow you to make you eyelashes look longer and fuller in a few minutes!
I must admit, I was quite sceptical of this little object. I never really saw the need and felt it could potentially be a waste a money if I bought them and it didn’t work. And of course being an obsessed curling tong girl, I couldn’t quite grasp the concept of being able to curl without heat!?
So I decided it was time to give them a try. I purchased a pair from No.7 at the weekend and once I figured out how to close on my eyelashes rather than miss and close thin air, I was really happy with the results.

My eyelashes are completely separated and curled upwards. They stand out much more and really opened up my eyes. If you are thinking about testing out a eyelash curler I would highly recommend  No.7.

Benefit: A Hint Of Posietint

I can’t imagine a life without Benefit cosmetics, and quite frankly, I don’t think I want to.
I was first introduced to Benefit makeup, about 5 years ago. My friend very kindly had a voucher to have a professional at the Benefit makeup counter test out some products on her. However, the voucher was coming up to it’s final day and she didn’t have time, so I luckily got the pleasure. Up until this point, I didn’t have much money, being a student and barely had enough to buy Rimmel concealer. (I will move onto Rimmel concealer and my love for it in another post coming soon).
From the very first moment that I saw the colourful, creative packaging and all of the wonderful products, I instantly fell in love. I bought Hoola and the amazing conceal everything concealer. I swear by Hoola however, more recently I have tested Nars Laguna and it is a new love (Sorry Hoola, I will return).
The Benefit range never fails to impress me, and all of my family and friends know of my love for it and buy me different blushers, bronzers and mascara from Benefit. Primpcess was a long standing favourite and lasts for ages. But today, my current Benefit favourite is Posietint.
What is it?
Posietint is a liquid blusher/lip tint. It has so many uses and blends incredibly on your skin. It is particularly great for dry skin as it won’t dry out your skin or crackle like some other blushers.
How To Use It:
I love to dab a small amount on my cheekbones after I put on my BB cream and bronzer. You will only need to use a small amount so this lasts forever. It lifts the colour in your face and does it in the most subtle manner. Alternatively, you can add a little to your lips and put a clear gloss over the top. I usually place a little bit on my lower lip and blend it with a pink or clear gloss. I am a huge fan of glosses and I don’t think this would work as well with lipstick. The packaging is almost like a nail polish bottle, just like Moon Beam so it is very easy to use with the attached brush to apply.
If you love your blushers this is for you. If you have never used a blusher then this is a great product to start with and if you hate using blusher, this is the most amazing “someone just pinched my cheeks” products to buy and I would recommend to all.
